On September 15, 2016 Eng. Ymer Kuka from Kosovo successfully defended his dissertation on “GPS and GIS Techniques in Cartographic Analysis and Applications” with supervisor Professor. Temenujka Bandrova.

The workshop on the new Geographic Information Body of Knowledge (GI-BoK) is organised as part of the GI-N2K project; it is addressed at researchers and teachers in the academic or private area, at human resources professionals in the GI industry or at everybody interested in geographic information. Participants will have the possibility to test the GI-BoK using worked examples and case studies. The GI-BoK workshop will take place on Thursday, 1st of September, in Sofia, Bulgaria. Тhe winner of the ISDE video competition entitled “Towards a One-World Vision for the Blue Planet” was announced during the 9th International symposium on Digital Earth in Halifax, Canada, 5-9 October (more information here!).
Kristina Kehayova – a student, specializing Cartography at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Sofia and her excellent work “Digital Earth – Explore the World Today” got the top 1 position. As a reward, she is awarded the opportunity to participate in the International Symposium on Earth Observation for Maritime Silk Road in Sanya this November.
