Rositsa Yaneva, graduated engineer in geodesy at UACEG and recently graduated PhD student at NIGGG, BAS, won an award for young scientist competition Danubius Young Scientist Award 2016 by the Austrian Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe. The prize is awarded to young scientists who have been working on various scientific issues in the Danube region by selecting one winner from each country. The awards ceremony will be held in Krems, Austria, which will coincide with the Conference of Rectors of Danube universities, The President Rosen Plevneliev will give a keynote speach.

Geographic Information Knowledge Workshop September 2016
The workshop on the new Geographic Information Body of Knowledge (GI-BoK) is organised as part of the GI-N2K project; it is addressed at researchers and teachers in the academic or private area, at human resources professionals in the GI industry or at everybody interested in geographic information. Participants will have the possibility to test the GI-BoK using worked examples and case studies. The GI-BoK workshop will take place on Thursday, 1st of September, in Sofia, Bulgaria.
